Story of Canada by Brown Schedule

I was asked to share my schedule for using Story of Canada by George Brown with Ambleside Online.

This schedule was figured out by matching the span of years covered by the world history for each year, but adjusting if necessary to complete a chapter.

I then looked at the dates covered in each chapter of the world history book, compared to the dates covered in each chapter of Story of Canada, and used that to determine which chapters to read each term, and then spread the sections out over the term fairly evenly, while still trying to match the dates fairly well.  Naturally the dates do not always match exactly, but it provides a fairly close match over-all

  2. I thank you for this schedule but I am having a bit of trouble deciphering what the hyphen-number means after the chapter. I checked my book thinking that it may correspond to the sections in the chapters but some of them do not line up for me. Would you be so kind as to clarify this?

  3. Each chapter has sections in it. In the book they are not numbered, but have names. So the -2, for instance, says to read the second section.

So - Chapter 1 is called the White Man Comes to Canada
    The sections within it are:
How the Cabots found the Cod-Banks
    The Second Voyage
Jacques Cartier Finds the St. Lawrence Gateway
    The Discovery of Hudson Bay

1-2 above would be Chapter 1, the section titled How the Cabots Found the Cod-Banks.
